Rani Durgavati University has been awarded with ‘A Grade’ from NAAC

  • Earlier, the University had to be satisfied with ‘B Grade’ during NAAC inspection carried out in 2015.
  • NAAC team specially appreciated the activities like continuous innovation, self-reliance, psychometric lab, job fair and other skill development activities being conducted in the university.

Jabalpur/Rani Durgavati University has achieved 'A' grade from NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council) after its three-day inspection carried out few days back. The University has achieved ‘A grade’ with 3.22 CGPA.
The good news was announced by NAAC on Saturday. 

Mentioning it a historic achievement of the university, Vice-Chancellor, Rani Durgavati University, Professor Rajesh Kumar Verma proudly shared that Rani Durgavati University has been included in the category of best universities not only of the state but in the entire country as well. In the year 2024, the university has achieved not just one but many achievements. Among these, getting A grade from NAAC is the biggest pride. 

According to Vice-chancellor, Professor Verma, the 'A' grade will benefit the university in taking many initiatives in the academic and non-academic fields like online courses can be started, more funds can be applied for in PM Usha, many distance education courses can be initiated. Simultaneously, many special facilities which 'A' grade universities get from the Central Government and State Government can be availed. It’s a matter of pride for the students, teachers, professors and colleges of Mahakaushal that they belong to 'A' Grade University.

It may be mentioned that the NAAC peer team had inspected the university from July 18 to July 20, 2024. NAAC peer team has provided curriculum quality, teaching, training and evaluation, research consultancy, infrastructure. The university was judged on the basis of parameters like student cooperation, governance leadership management, innovation, skill development etc. as well as cultural achievements of the students. 

Vice-chancellor Prof. Verma congratulated Registrar Dr. Deepesh Mishra, University NAAC Coordinator Professor Rakesh Bajpai, IQAC Coordinator, Professor Mridula Dubey, other committee members, lecturers, officers, guest lecturers and employees for the achievement. 

Previously, Rani Durgavati University was awarded B grade by NAAC in the year 2002 and in 2015 as well.
